When Eli Manning got benched for the first time since his rookie season, his father, Archie, showed limited pity. Archie told Eli to be a professional, be classy and grind for his next opportunity. One week later, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese are out, and Eli is the starting quarterback again.

Archie spoke to ThePostGame at a media event Tuesday for the National Football Foundation Annual Awards in New York City. Eli's older brother, Peyton, is part of the 2017 College Football Hall of Fame Class, which was honored Tuesday evening.
