Dalton Pompey is living out his dream. The Mississauga, Ontario, native plays Major League Baseball for his hometown Blue Jays and has a bright future ahead of him in Toronto.
Celebrating his 24th birthday Sunday, Pompey could have thrown a mega-bash in "The Queen City." Instead, he had an unselfish birthday.
Pompey walked around the snowy streets of Toronto and handed out Tim Horton's gift cards to the less fortunate.
"There's no better gift than the gift of kindness!" Pompey wrote in his post.
City of Toronto Councillor Norm Kelly gave Pompey a shout-out:
Kudos to @DaltonPompey of the @BlueJays! On his birthday he bought @TimHortons cards & walked around Toronto handing them out to the needy. pic.twitter.com/QHXGSbazzE

Pompey made $507,500 in 2016. But he's not hogging all of the coffee and doughnuts for himself.
